Cyber Choices
Helping you choose the right and legal path
Cyber Choices is a nation wide campaign co-ordinated by the National Crime Agency and delivered by local cyber choices teams aimed at helping people make informed choices and to use their cyber skills in a legal way.
In the UK, cybercrime is governed by the Computer Misuse Act 1990 which outlines what actions constitute a cybercrime offence in the UK. Actions like hacking someone's online account, putting malware on another persons computer and distributed denial of service attacks (DDoSing) can result in serious consequences including prison time.
Cyber choices intends to identify and safeguard vulnerable people who are either at risk of commiting cybercrime or have already engaged in low-level offending and educates them around safe and legal ways that they can use their cyber skills.
