Nick Stenner
REGIONAL PROTECT/PREVENT/PREPARE SERGEANT

Nick has worked within the police service since 2004 in a variety of roles serving the public. He has worked for both Lincolnshire and Nottinghamshire but is currently seconded to East Midlands Special Operations Unit which is a collaboration of five Police forces.

 

Nick has lots of experience in the safeguarding and crime prevention areas of policing with a proven track record of protecting vulnerable people and businesses in society. He worked as part of the Cyber team in Nottinghamshire covering both Protect and Prevent before moving to the East Midlands Special Operations Unit.

 

Nick is the Sergeant of the Regional Cyber Engagement Team covering the Protect, Prepare and Prevent strands of the Team Cyber UKs four P’s strategy, leading forces to provide valuable advice and support to victims of cyber-crime and helping them mitigate and prevent cyber-attacks.

SHEVANI RAICHURA
REGIONAL PROTECT OFFICER

Shiv has worked in the East Midlands Special Operations Cyber Crime Unit since 2018. Her previous experiences involve developing the role of the Digital PCSO and operating as a Counter Terrorism Prevent Officer, Regional Cyber Prevent Officer.

 

As part of the Protect Network, Shiv currently coordinates operational activities delivering Cyber threat mitigation advice to organisations across the East Midlands within the public and private sector to uplift their Cyber preparedness and resiliency.

 

Shiv delivers board level strategic advice within Local Resilience Forums, risk management advice responding to incidents, advising on supply chain security, defence in depth, business continuity and can provide awareness training through all levels of an organisation embedding security within an organisations culture. Shiv is certified in CISMP, CompTIA Security+ & CompTIA Cyber Security Analyst+

John Hammond
REGIONAL PROTECT OFFICER

John joined the East Midlands Special Operations Unit in July 2021 after achieving a first in BA Professional Policing at the University of Northampton as a cyber intern and achieved a full time permeant position as a Cyber Protect Officer and has remained in this role since April 2022.

John has previously been seconded to the Leicestershire Police cybercrime team where he was a Local Protect Officer and gained invaluable experience in advising both victims of cybercrime and local schools and businesses on how they could better protect themselves. Johns main role as a Regional Protect Officer is to assist Local Protect Officers in delivering inputs and also help organise both regional and national cybercrime awareness campaigns across the East Midlands.

Chris Wilson
REGIONAL PROTECT OFFICER

Chris has worked in the East Midlands Special Operations Cyber Crime Unit since October 2021. His previous experience includes IT manager in small-medium business and has previously worked in IT departments within schools.

 

Chris’ previous accomplishments include designing and building IT networks from the ground up and the planning and execution of projects such as designing and installing network infrastructure and AV systems.

 

As part of the Protect Network, Chris delivers threat mitigation advice to schools and businesses and delivers risk management advice when responding to incidents. He is also responsible for our Cyber Secure website and assisting local cyber protect officers.

 

Chris is certified in CompTIA Security+ & CompTIA Cyber Security Analyst+

Mark Lonsdale
Cyber Protect Officer for Nottinghamshire

Mark has been a Cyber Protect & Prevent Officer for Nottinghamshire police since August 2022, after initially joining as a Police Community Support Officer. Mark began his career at Experian where he worked for 10 years where he developed his skills working with victims of fraud.

 

As part of the Cyber Protect network, Mark delivers tailored protect advice to all victims of cyber dependent crime across Nottinghamshire. Mark works proactively to respond to local developing trends.

 

As part of the Cyber Prevent network Mark delivers the Cyber Choices programme across Nottinghamshire by mentoring children and young adults on the cusp of criminality to help avoid further Computer Misuse Act offences from being committed.  Mark will also work at increasing public awareness against cybercrime whilst looking at early intervention methods to deter young people from a life of cybercrime.

Kynam has been a cyber protect officer since 2022.

Kirsty Jackson
Cyber Protect Officer for Nottinghamshire

Kirsty has been a Cyber Protect & Prevent Officer for Nottinghamshire police since August 2018.

 

Kirsty covers the Prepare, Protect and Prevent strands of the 4 P’s Cyber strategy. Kirsty delivers tailored protect advice to all Victims of cybercrime across Nottinghamshire and works proactively to respond to local developing trends to reduce victimisation.

 

​As part of the cyber prevent network Kirsty deliver’s the Cyber Choices Programme by mentoring children and young adults on the cusp of criminality to reduce offending related to the Computer Misuse Act 1990.

 

Kirsty has over 13 years’ experience working in fraud before her current role in Cyber.

Samantha Hancock
Cyber Protect Officer for Derbyshire

Sam’s has vast experience within her policing career; her previous roles entail being a lead co-ordinator for the Derbyshire Business Against Crime Project, Sam has also led the Crime Prevention Unit and Strategic Crime Prevention Units respectively.

Sam joined as a Cyber Protect Officer in 2016 with Leicestershire Police, increasing cyber and fraud awareness within force. She covers businesses and communities to help raise awareness making them more resilient against Cybercrime and Fraud. Sam has recently transferred over to Derbyshire Constabulary to take up the role of a Cyber Protect Officer.

 

Sam engages with the public, running workshops and training, she is trained in using social media networks and traditional media in order to push out messages and guidance to support communities.


Sam is certified in CISMP (Certificate in Information Security Management Principles).

Sarah Dufton
Digital PCSO for Derbyshire

Sarah has worked for Derbyshire Police since 2005. Her roles include being the forces Digital Police Community Support Officer and Cyber Choices Prevent Officer.

 

As a Cyber Choices Prevent Officers she delivers the Cyber Choices programme in person or by webinars to police colleagues and external agencies promoting the programme for children and young adults to engage in a legal way.

 

Sarah completed her CEOP Ambassador Training and uses these skills when speaking to parents/carers of children and young adults around online safety. Sarah delivers online safety and cyber aware presentations to community groups, schools and colleges in Derbyshire.

 

Sarah also works with partner agencies visiting families and victims of cyber crime to offer support and advice around protecting themselves online.

Cyber Protect & Prevent Officer for Lincolnshire

Andy has been a Police Officer with Lincolnshire Police since 2005. During his career he worked in response, CID and most recently Neighbourhoods.

 

Andy decided to join the Cybercrime department as he has an avid interest in technology and enjoys providing help and advice to the public.

 

"Technology is great and makes our lives a lot more convenient. However, this can lead to an increase in opportunities for Cyber Criminals."

 

Cybercrime is a rapidly changing area of crime. Andy enjoys contributing to increasing cyber and fraud awareness within force and reducing the effects of this type of crime on victims.

Cyber Protect & Prevent Officer for Lincolnshire

My name is Justin Mekkaoui, and I have been with the Cyber Crime Department since March 2022. I have had a wide range of careers prior to joining Lincolnshire Police, ranging from sales, banking, recruitment and property lettings management.

 

I have been with Lincolnshire Police since 2006. I started as a Police Community Support Officer in Louth and have also been a Police Officer working on response in Skegness, Mablethorpe, Horncastle and Louth for a short period of time.

 

I decided to join the cyber-crime department as I have a huge interest in technology & helping victims with aspects of their cyber security needs.

 

Whilst technology is fantastic if used in the right way, cybercrime is an ever-evolving industry, and I thrive on the ability and opportunity to support individuals and businesses to protect themselves online.
